Most creative studios will make your brand look better.
Most marketing agencies will get you more impressions.
Neither is the same as building a brand that makes people feel something.
Fifteen years. Three territories. Brands built to be felt, not just seen.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Art direction, brand identity, and fifteen years of making things that feel exactly right.
Design that communicates across cultures without losing what makes a brand specific to its own world. That’s what fifteen years of building Carrousel Studio looks like.
Lon founded the studio in 2010 with a simple conviction — that great design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about understanding. Understanding the brand, the audience, the cultural context, and the gap between them. Everything since has been built on that.
Working with clients across Europe, Asia, and Australasia, the range has been deliberately broad — brand identity, art direction, illustration, packaging, campaign design, editorial, digital. Not because focus doesn’t matter, but because genuine creative fluency means being able to move across disciplines without losing quality. Every brief is different. The standard doesn’t change.
What runs through all of it is cultural intelligence. Raised in Hong Kong, based in London, working increasingly across Southeast Asia — Lon holds multiple visual worlds simultaneously and understands how design language shifts between them. What signals trust in one market can alienate in another. What feels premium in one context feels cold in another. That sensitivity — to culture, to nuance, to the specific human being on the other side of the work — is rare. It’s also what makes Carrousel Studio’s work travel.
The studio has always operated at the intersection of East and West, creativity and strategy, the global and the specific. The clients who get the most from working with Lon are the ones who have built something with genuine character and need a creative partner who can see it clearly and translate it — into a brand, a campaign, a visual identity that holds up everywhere it needs to go.
That’s the work. That’s what it’s always been.
